Jade CDs are widely heard on national and fine music stations throughout Australia, and are recognized as a valuable resource by educational authorities as being uniquely representative of the work of Australian composers. They are manufactured in limited runs of 500 and stocks are therefore may be regarded as collectors’ items! All Jade CD covers are distinctive. Most Jade CDs have an anthology format and include works by several composers. It’s great to have these CDs on offer for a wider audience at iMusicStage.

"TWIN TOWERS" JADCD 1055 Works by: Dulcie Holland, Eric Gross, Ann Carr-Boyd, Colin Brumby, Derek Strahan, Lawrence Bartlett, Robert Allworth. Duration: 69.26. No connection to 9/11. The title and cover picture refer to the new Glebe Island Suspension Bridge, now known as the Anzac Bridge, which spans a waterway in Sydney Harbour and which inspired the pieces by Gross, Carr-Boyd and Allworth featured on this album. The marine theme continues with "Fairy Penguins" (Holland) and "Fur Seals" (Bartlett). Instrumentation ranges from the above two solo piano pieces to Strahan’s piece for string trio & flute in baroque style titled "In The Attic", after the strange location in which the recording was made! In contrast the expansive "Fanfopus" by Gross is played by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra conducted by Patrick Thomas.
